The Summer Intensive Theatre Final Project is a culminating collaborative new work presented by the inaugural cohort of the Summer Intensive Training Program. The seven-week program, co-hosted by Williamstown Theatre Festival and Williams College, has brought together 20 young theater-makers seeking out an opportunity to expand their learning across disciplines and interests through seminars, workshops, and hands-on experience. This culminating new devised work is a showcase of their exploration throughout the program and the insights they have gained over their time this summer.

About the Summer Intensive program:

Designed for current undergraduate students (or learners at an equivalent stage of their training), this program serves a combined cohort of approximately ten Williams College students and approximately 10 participants who apply via Williamstown Theatre Festival.

This program is perfect for learners interested in a holistic or generalist theater training experience and who might identify as “hyphenates,” interested in generating work through multiple theatrical disciplines (e.g. performing, directing, playwriting, design).
